We are primarily looking for people with few or little writing experience, but seasoned writers are welcome as well. Our publication platform is particularly suited for everyone interested in working in politics, economics, public service and sciences, and who wants to reach a broad audience. With this opportunity, your experience and knowledge can be passed on to a wide audience.
Our writers primarily get the possibility to improve their writing skills through the help of our editorial team. We want you to expand upon your skills to pass on knowledge to a wider audience. This is why we put an emphasis on the acquisition of a journalistic style of writing and offer extensive support during the writing process.
The Region covered by Objective Mind is, at this point in time, the post-Soviet region excluding the Baltic States. As those are already members of the NATO and the EU they will be subject of discussion later with the respective region. Our focus is Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
We are generally open when it comes to themes but we ask that your article cover politics, society, economics or environment.
We ask our writers to send their topic to the newsroom first. This is essential to coordinate the work between writers and the newsroom and to help to avoid a situation where two writers are working on the same topic.
Once your topic has been cleared, you can start working on the first draft and email it to us. You will then receive an edited and annotated version to use for improvements. If necessary, we can edit your text multiple times until it is ready for publication.
